On September 15, 2015 Schultz Ornamental Iron received a email from Mariah Joyce asking us if we would open our shop up on a Saturday to surprise her husband with some iron work fun. Adam Joyce and Mariah Joyce are both in the army. And Adam unfortunately is getting deployed again, leaving behind a wife and two little girls. Mariah wanted to have a day with Adam doing something together that they will always remember. Being she contacted two other iron companies, one which ne…ver responded and the other replying no; really upset us. We wanted to show our appreciation to these two soldiers that fight for our country’s freedom. So, Schultz Ornamental Iron was more than excited to open the shop up and spend the day with them. Adam never knew about this until the day Mariah showed up to the shop with him. Being Adam had the surprise of the iron work, we wanted to surprise Mariah also because she is also in the army serving for our country. Therefore we decided to make them a coffee table. The hardest part was only having 5 days to make this happen. It was a challenge and almost didn’t work out, but we all worked together as a team and pulled it off. The reaction we got is what its all about…. Appreciation. This was our thank you to them for serving our country. In the process, we also got to meet a beautiful, fun, and loving family. This was the best day we’ve ever had and we are so glad she contacted us because not only did they have fun, but we also got to make new friends with an amazing couple.
